Where many brides want a dress that encapsulates their preference and personality, Elsje wanted something dissimilar – a creation unique to her, yet in contrast to the preconceived ideas of what everyone thought she would wear. She wanted something fitted yet fluid and non-constructive. Something incredibly sexy yet refined.
Enamoured with an image she had seen on Pinterest, the foundation for Elsje’s 1930’s inspired dress was set. Fashioned from a base of white stretched satin, her heart-shaped bodice was elegantly veiled with lavishly beaded embroided lace, which extended over her arms, creating a voguish long sleeve. A slick satin band accentuated her waist line – spouting a silk chiffon skirt with a classic court train.
Timeless. Elegant. Stylish and Sexy. Ladies and Gentlemen, the beautiful Mrs. van den Heever.
